Another Cheshire walk somewhere new to explore, This time in north Cheshire at Alderley ridge, I found this to be a busy place to visit but after a short distance we managed to get away from people, i really enjoy peaceful walks and thrive on peace at the weekends. i did my research first before this walk and took a small map and walking guide.
The village Alderley Edge is 6 miles northwest of Macclesfield and 15 miles south of Manchester, its very easy to rub shoulders with Premier football players, actors and multi millionaires in the village which the area attracts.
The walk starts out side the village at the National Trust carp park, which is sign posted the edge.
From the car park the walks are sign posted and way-marked , my advice if you enjoy peaceful walks its best to go early or walk to Hare hill which we did which did get us a from the crowds after a shorts distance.
I have posted some photos from along the way from the Edge to Hare hill in a circular walk, there are some good views over the Cheshire plain and the Peak district with Shining Tor and Shutlingsloe visible
