a new walk had been built from Rhyd-Ddu to Beddgelert the Lon gwyrfai path ,so the start was on this path then the steep accent up to Y Garn with some good views over to the Menai straits and Anglesey, however we did have low cloud at times on the ridge.
a short grade one scramble to Mynydd Drws-y-coed and the the walk along the ridge to Trum y Ddysgl with some dramatic scenery and then the final part of the ridge to the summit of Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd and the large obelisk on the summit. the return was slightly different with a return to Trum y Ddysgl and down to what ended the walk through a forest and back onto Lon gwyrfai path with a total distance of 11.8 km and provided some good dramatic landscape photography and a fantastic mountain hiking
