Heading round the Mere I headed out to Ellesmere point (Location-N 52 degrees 54.765 W 002 degrees 51.681) a very small hill with a elevation of only 123 metre above sealevel yet with its prominace on the Shropshire plain the view are fairly impressive with the Pickforton hills in cheshire,Ellesmere port and the Peak district visiable on a clear day.
From here heading via well marked waymarked route across fields to Welshampton and from there following Lyneal Lane to the hamlet of Lyneal. Heading from Lyneal to Colemere and the following the Llangollen Canal tow path back to Ellesmere.
distance was 14km and only took 2.5 hours which makes a good afternoon walk or a summers evening walk.
when i got back and checked my photos i discovered one of the photos was very odd which you will see in one of the photos, At first i was going to delete the photo yet where it was taken in reputed to be haunted by a young girl in the Ellesmere tunnel, I have posted it as a matter of interest....... maybe have i have captured a image of a ghost of the Ellemere tunnel??
