A moving and fascinating visit to Caernarfon Castle today while away in Snowdonia this Weekend to see the Weeping window poppies cascading from the one of castle towers.
This was first Welsh Location of Poppies-Weeping Window by artist-Paul Cummings and designer Tom Piper and part of the Blood Swept Land and Sea of Red originally seen at the Tower of London.
For the photography i have used my XP-90 with red filter to emphasize the Red and my trust Nikon DLSR with my 35mm Lens which is my primary lens, I have used a few vantage locations for different angles.
Truly moving scene and I would highly recommend at visit.

This a walk we did after visiting the weeping window which the photos are on previous blog, so this was a planned walk and there was snow on the Snowdonia mountains so best to keep of them unless any walking was well planned,
Yr Eifi sits on the the Llyn Perinsula with a summit of 564 meters above sea level it rises straight up from the sea, if given more time we would of walked this from sea level but started at a elevated level,
A extremely and blustery day for walk, overall it was great fun as the views were getting better and better and surrounded by storms which made great weather watching, we lost all visibility on the summit for a while so it was heads down in the summits wind shelter.
I good weather I would have no doubt the views are outstanding.........we plan to return to visit again for the photography of the old mine workings on the coastline
no walking today but as I was working a half day today so I managed to get on my bike and cycle from Welshpool to Garthmyl and back .
I have done lots of running past few weeks as training for the bettws-y-coed 10k trail run so a change was good and I really wanted to spend some time outside in the light, The route from Welshpool to Garthmyl and back along the Montgomery Canal tow path was a leisurely flat there and back 20k, which I stopped half way as I took a flask of coffee, had my hot drink and enjoyed the peace for half a hour sat on the bench.
Plenty of Autumn colour with some of the trees that nice golden rust colour with a very peaceful and tranquil time on the bike, I really thrive on peacefulness and isolation so I my afternoon cycling the monty was some good quality time out
