Today i took a short walk today with my camera to a exceptionally peaceful Lake vyrnwy and ona exceptionally warm day.
Following one of the RSPB trails on the upper reaches provided no bird photograthy but great views with peace and tranquilty, the best bird photography seems to be right by the RSPB shop due to the bird feeders.
Due to Vyrnwy being such wet place and its own micro climate there is still some green around due to the evergreen tree and abundance of moss.
A very warm December afternoon walking and exploring woods around Nesscliffe Hill and a hunt for Kynaston cave the former home and hideout of highwayman Humphrey Kynaston (aka wild Humphrey Kynaston,Died 1534).
I thought i would take the DLSR taken only my trust 35mm lens which i prefer 35mil photograthy, All the images posted todays are with the 35 and all free hand and kept things simple, great practice and trying diffrent things and compostions at the sametime enjoying the walk and great outdoors.
A perfect dry crisp December day for walking today, i still have not got round to blogging my 10k x-country race yet from Betws-y-coed so i will get round to that at some point.
I was glad to get out today as i have been unwell for week so a gently walk today of 10k was ideal, plus i needed to break in a new pair of walking boots which turned out perfetly comftable.
Starting at Llangollan station and heading upto the canal Warf and following the path to Castell Dinas Bran and then following rights of way paths and lanes, onto a delightfull path descending across a steep hillside with fantactic views down onto Velvet hill and Valle Cruis Abbey were we are heading to.
From reaching the ancient abbey and heading onto the old tramway running alongside the A542 a short walk onto reaching a path which take you on wonderfull walk along the lower reaches of Velvet hill and following paths of golden colour from the winter leaves.
On reaching the B5103 a short decent to Llantisilio Green and the Horseshoe falls, then a peacefull walk along the Llangollen Canal back towards Llangollen with the sight of the steam train passing heading to Llangollen station.
finishing at the Corn Mill in the warm with drink.
