Easter weekend and finding a mountain in snowdonia with out crowds needs a bit of research, With Moel Hebog been on the back boiler for while this was todays choice of mountain and also added to my quest to climb all the welsh mountains which means another summit bagged.
A fair bit of scrambling involved to the 783m summit, indeed a peaceful walk with much only a few people about,
we passed pen-y-pass on route to Beddgelert there was a plentiful abundance of cars parked along the road and crowds heading to the summit of snowdon, but sorry snowdon in the summer its not for me as i just love the peace and tranquility of a mountain.
With just a few people on the summit claiming the summit trig point a good chance to take in the views form the summit looking over the sea and thankfully and brilliant weather and Snowdons summit appeared hidden by cloud all the time were on Moel Hebog.
We absolutely loved this very walk peaceful as planned and beautiful views and most certainly will get your pulse racing on the scrabbling up the side, the decent fairly challenging on the scree with treking poles a must, but great fun.
Beddgelert and a very picturesque village but go when its early morning before crowds get out, enjoy the peace and views of the mountains and of course its walks
